Brookpark’s mix of residential streets alongside industrial and commercial property near Cleveland Hopkins International Airport creates a different pest picture than a purely residential suburb. Warehouses, commercial kitchens, and older housing stock near a major transportation hub all tend to see more consistent rodent and cockroach pressure; pests that move easily between commercial buildings and nearby homes if they’re not addressed at the source.

Our owner, Shawn Payne, actually spent time working at NASA Glenn Research Center (located right in this area) before starting Lakewood Exterminating, so this part of Cleveland’s West Side isn’t unfamiliar territory for us.

Common pest pressures in Brookpark

Why Brookpark homes and businesses choose us

Commercial and industrial-adjacent pest problems tend to be more complex than a single-family home with an ant trail on the counter and we’ve built our business around solving exactly these kinds of layered, recurring issues rather than a one-size-fits-all spray. Flat fees mean a business owner isn’t navigating a commissioned sales pitch on top of an already stressful pest problem.

Local ties

Beyond general West Side coverage, our owner Shawn Payne has direct history in this specific area; he worked at NASA Glenn Research Center, located in Brookpark, as a groundskeeper responsible for structural pest control among other duties, before founding this company.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Amber knows what she is doing. Lakewood has been excellent at finding entry points for mice and preventing their entry. Also great at ridding the house of ants and wasps.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. From the moment I spoke to Simone on the phone, I knew I was in good hands. She listened intently to the issue I was calling about, told me she would discuss a resolution shortly with her boss and get back to me. She contacted me shortly after with a potential solution and a few days later, Shawn showed up at my home ready to work. He went above and beyond for me and could not have been kinder. I highly recommend you call Lakewood Exterminating for your exterminating needs. Efficient, kind, fair pricing and peace of mind at its finest. Thank you!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If you call this place, a human being answers the phone. They came out a few hours after we called. It’s been about 2 hours and the yellowjackets are mostly dead. Thanks everyone for letting us use our door again!
