Westpark is one of Cleveland’s classic West Side neighborhoods, consisting of mostly single-family homes on tight urban lots, many of them 60 to 100 years old, packed close together in the way older Cleveland neighborhoods are. That density and age of housing stock creates a specific pest pattern: what starts in one house often shows up next door not long after, and older foundations, siding, and rooflines give mice and rats more opportunities to get inside than newer construction would.

Being minutes from Lakewood, Westpark is some of the closest territory we serve; we’re a very short drive from most calls here.

Common pest pressures in Westpark

Mice and rats, especially in older homes with aging foundations and shared walls or tight lot spacing that lets rodent activity spread between properties
Cockroaches, a common and often stubborn issue in dense, older urban housing — especially in multi-unit or rental properties
Ants, both nuisance and carpenter ants, common in older Cleveland housing stock
Bed bugs, which spread more easily in denser residential areas with more turnover (renters, shared laundry, etc.)

Why Westpark homeowners and landlords choose us

Cockroaches are almost always a landlord issue, and we’ve built our reputation on solving the complex, recurring cases that a single generic spray treatment doesn’t fix. Our technicians take the time to do a real inspection rather than rushing through a per-job quota, which matters even more in dense, older housing where the source of an infestation isn’t always obvious.

Local roots

We’re based in Lakewood, right next door — Westpark is some of the closest territory we cover, and we know Cleveland’s West Side housing stock well because it’s what we’ve specialized in for years.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Amber knows what she is doing. Lakewood has been excellent at finding entry points for mice and preventing their entry. Also great at ridding the house of ants and wasps.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. From the moment I spoke to Simone on the phone, I knew I was in good hands. She listened intently to the issue I was calling about, told me she would discuss a resolution shortly with her boss and get back to me. She contacted me shortly after with a potential solution and a few days later, Shawn showed up at my home ready to work. He went above and beyond for me and could not have been kinder. I highly recommend you call Lakewood Exterminating for your exterminating needs. Efficient, kind, fair pricing and peace of mind at its finest. Thank you!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If you call this place, a human being answers the phone. They came out a few hours after we called. It’s been about 2 hours and the yellowjackets are mostly dead. Thanks everyone for letting us use our door again!
